MSO conductor Douglas Droste congratulates Junior participants in YAC 2014 Young Artist Competition 2014 Senior Winner, YiChang Cui, 16 Young Artist Competition 2014 Junior Winner, Nathan Meltzer, 13

The Muncie Symphony Orchestra holds an annual competition for young musicians in the region. Two divisions: the Junior (grades 6-8) and the Senior (grades 9-11) provide the opportunity for two winners to receive a cash prize and an opportunity to perform with the Muncie Symphony in a future concert.

Application deadline for young artists is December 1, 2014.

Cardinal Greenway 5K Walk/Run & Kids Fun

Our Theme for this year’s Event is
“Trail Tortoise vs The Hare”

The Cardinal Greenways 5K Run/Walk is a yearly event that celebrates the Cardinal Greenways!

The 5K Run and 5K Walk are competitive events and overall winners (male & female) and age group winners are awarded in each race.

Additionally, the Kids Fun Run is a great event for children!

Registration Information: 7:00 a.m. Registration
8:00 a.m. 5K Competitive Run
8:00 a.m. 5K Competitive Walk
9:00 a.m. Kids Fun Run

$20.00 Early Registration: includes an awesome Sport Tek shirt
$25.00 after April 16th

$5.00 Kids Fun Run ( 10 & under )

On Saturday August 27th, the Delaware County Fair Grounds will be transformed into a huge festival grounds. We’ll invite the public to come join us to Dream, Learn and Do. Attendees can watch, experience and win a variety of Dreams, including some once-in-a-lifetime chances we call “Bucket List” dreams.
