Enjoy tea and light refreshments while joining art historian Dr. Lara Kuykendall, Director of the Ball State School of Art, for an engaging exploration of the work and legacy of lesser-known Indiana artist Constance Coleman Richardson. Drawing from her contribution to The Unforgettables by Charles C. Eldredge—a volume that brings together leading scholars to celebrate overlooked artists—Dr. Kuykendall will highlight Richardson’s place in art history and examine why rediscovering these voices matters today.

Learn Bob’s signature “wet-on-wet” technique from an experienced Certified Ross Instructor® and paint in the building where The Joy of Painting was filmed! Just bring yourself, and we will provide everything you need to have a wonderful time. Just like Bob said, “Let’s get crazy!”

Honor the legacy of East Central Indiana service members this Memorial Day weekend with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Minnetrista Heritage Collection. Guided by the Collections team, guests will step beyond the public galleries into secure storage areas where military uniforms, letters, field equipment, photographs, and personal effects are carefully preserved. Each artifact carries a story—offering a rare opportunity to reflect on the lives and sacrifices of those who served. This tour may include standing, stairs, and exposure to loud HVAC noise.

Minnetrista Museum & Gardens

Homeschool families are invited to a fun-filled day of educational activities across Minnetrista’s campus. Activities are designed for students in prekindergarten through 6th grade, while all ages can enjoy exploring our exhibitions, historic homes, and scenic nature trails. Come ready to learn and play!
