Rinard Orchid Greenhouse

Join us for an enchanting family program, Midsummer Night's Dream, on Saturday, July 11 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Learn about the legends and lore of orchids and the charming world of garden fairies and sprites, featuring the Muncie Ballet Studio. Come dressed as your favorite fairy or sprite for fairy tours, light refreshments and a whimsical wand-making craft.

This event is in the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse located in the south side of Christy Woods on the Ball State campus. Attendance is unlimited and no registration is required. For questions only, contact  Cheryl LeBlanc or call 765-285-8839. This is free and open to the public.

Parking is available in the G13 lot south of Christy Woods (no permit required on Saturdays), or metered parking on University. Overflow parking is available in lot C3 to the west near the picnic shelter or lot G15 near the tennis courts.

Mid-Summer Night's Dream at the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse

Fairy Friendly event! Join Muncie Ballet Studio for an evening of fun: Face painting, enchanted tour, wondrous wand making, and much more. Wear your favorite fairy or sprite costume for this family event, this Saturday at the greenhouse!

Holiday in Bloom at the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse

Holiday in Bloom Open House - Experience the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse at night, with holiday flair on Saturday, December 2. Concurrent glass-blowing demonstrations at the Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass. All welcome 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. 

In addition to a beautiful display of orchids and holiday lights we will feature:
. Sedoctave BSU A Cappella Group Performances: 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
. Holiday items available for fundraising sale (cash or check only please)

. Hot Cocoa and Cookies

. Children's Activities

6:00-9:00 p.m. Take a ride on the MITS Trolley from Minnetrista to the Joe and Alice Rinard Orchid Greenhouse to enjoy our Holiday Open House!
6:00-9:00 p.m. Take a stroll to The Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass for glass blowing demonstrations
6:30 and 8:00 p.m. Visit the Charles W. Brown Planetarium for the presentation of The Christmas Star

 ‘Escape’ to the warm tropical environment of the Ball State University Rinard Orchid Greenhouse anytime during April, and especially on National Orchid Day 

Hours: Mon – Fri 10:00 – 4:30 pm, Sat 10:00 – 3 pm 

Located in Christy Woods, across from IUBMH Hospital
