The Muncie Makers Market is so happy to get back outside with the First Thursday community events, a popular local tradition, going many years back, with all sorts of vendors, artists, and entertainers set up throughout all of Downtown Muncie. Come shop with us and enjoy your community!

The Muncie Makers Market is a retail business incubator presented to the public through a community farmers market with fresh homemade food, locally grown produce, live plants, and handmade arts of all kinds! You’ll find the Muncie Makers Market monthly during the First Thursday & Third Thursday community events in Downtown Muncie, and at special annual events like the Magic City Brewfest, Brink of Summer ArtsWalk, Fire Up DWNTWN, ArtsWalk, and Light Up DWNTWN throughout our community all year! “Exhibition of 8 x l0 photos of Charles Gatewood”: Charles Robert Gatewood (November 8, 1942 – April 28, 2016) was an American photographer, writer, videographer, artist and educator, who lived and worked in San Francisco, California. Gatewood's documentation of alternative culture in San Francisco is unmatched. People he photographed include Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Herb Gold, Charles Henri Ford, Carol Queen, Ron Turner and Ruth Bernard. 5-8pm.

Let there be music in the streets of DWNTWN Muncie! Thanks to the efforts of Rick Zeigler, founder of the Muncie Three Trails Music series, four buskers will be performing throughout DWNTWN, 5-8pm, each First Thursday, June-October.

Community members interested in volunteering with the Muncie Arts and Culture Council (MuncieArts) are invited to attend an informational meeting to learn more.

MuncieArts Artist Spotlight: 5–7 pm
Muncie Civic Theatre Lobby, 216 E Main St.
For the pilot MuncieArts Artist Spotlight program, join painter and MuncieArts apprentice Andie Arana Gomez, who focuses on themes of immigration, identity, and cultural heritage that incorporate a unique visual language inspired by iconic Mayan myths native to their home country of Guatemala. There will be brief remarks at 6 pm. Artists, creatives, and makers are also invited to sign up for future Artist Spotlights too. Pick up information about programs and events in our area too.
